The Sinhalese Cultural Centre (SCC) recently completed the installation of Audio Visual  and other multimedia facilities to enhance the usability of the Centre.

Under this important project, a professional sound system and a large smart TV system for video projections were installed. Further, Information Technology equipment such as laptops, monitors and tablet devices were purchased to support various community programs. These facilities will be used by many community and performing arts groups to conduct their music, drama and dance productions, rehearsals and also small performances.

Further these facilities will be used by the Sinhalese Language Teaching Program (SLTP) for their educational workshops and teacher training activities. These new facilities will also enhance the Digital Literacy for Seniors Program with new IT equipment.

The installation of the equipment are now completed and the user groups have started to use these new facilities. The SCC has received very positive feedback from the user groups about the new facilities.

This project was largely funded by the Creative Capital Funding Program run by Create NSW of NSW Government.  The Sinhalese Cultural Centre would like to thank the NSW Government for providing the essential funding for this important capability enhancement at the Sinhalese Cultural Centre.
