The Sri Lanka Association of New South Wales held the Annual HSC High Achievers Award Ceremony and the Seniors Felicitation Day on 2 April 2022 at the Thornleigh Community Centre in Sydney.
A large gathering of well wishers and seniors attended both events.
The HSC High Achievers Educational Award was open to HSC students of Sri Lankan origin who achieved an ATAR score of over 95% at the 2021 HSC examination. Seven students were nominated for the Award. It was pleasing to note that of the seven there were two Muslim students and one Tamil student reflecting Sri Lankan society. Sathmi Ranasinghe with an ATAR score of 99.45 won the award. The other students were given a Certificate of Achievement and a keepsake trophy with their name and ATAR score inscribed on it. The MC for the event was Kalinga Wijeyewardene

The MC for the Event was Sri Skandakumar and the Event was photographed by Robin Bosko.
A scrumptious Sri Lankan lunch buffet was provided free of charge to the Seniors. The Seniors thoroughly enjoyed the day with all the entertainment, dancing and food.
