Census is a national survey taking place every five years, in Australia. It is a national count of every person and home in the country.

This year the Census is scheduled for 10 August 2021. The Census is a great opportunity to better understand the needs and demographics of our communities, religion, and Birth country. Census data is used to plan important services for communities such as health, education, transport, and in-language support.

How can you support our community at the Census?

When you fill in the Census survey, please ensure the following question is answered as follows.
Do you use a Language other than English at home?
Please Answer: Yes, Other- Sinhalese, Tamil and other Languages spoken at home.

Let’s work together to build a better future for our communities!
