Lunch Packet Fundraiser – Australian Buddhist Vihara Katoomba

The Australian Buddhist Vihara, Katoomba is the first Buddhist monastery established in Australia in 1972 within the world heritage Blue Mountains National Park, making it a significant and historic site in Australia.
As a result of severe weather events in recent years, the ground around its sacred Bodhi tree has destabilized and started to disintegrate and erode down the adjacent slope. Stabilisation and retainment of the ground therefore by a structural retaining wall had to be done asap. All necessary structural engineering reports and approvals have been obtained, and the work had to be started as a matter of urgency. This lunch packet drive is to raise much-needed funds to assist repayment of the loans taken for this work.
