Sri Lanka Association of NSW Invites Applications for Comprehensive Feasibility Report

The Sri Lanka Association of NSW has announced a call for applications from experienced consultancy firms to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study on establishing a retirement village in New South Wales. The initiative aims to cater to the unique needs and preferences of the Sri Lankan community, while also serving the wider public in the region.

According to the Association, the proposed retirement village is envisioned as a sustainable and inclusive community, reflecting the cultural values and expectations of its residents. To this end, the Association is seeking professional services from entities with a proven track record in delivering feasibility studies for retirement villages or similar large-scale community projects.

Project Scope and Requirements

The selected consultant will be tasked with conducting an in-depth market analysis to assess demand and identify suitable locations for the retirement village. The scope also includes reviewing regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements specific to NSW, evaluating the financial viability of the project—including cost estimates, funding models, and projected returns—and drawing on best practices from similar ventures, particularly those serving multicultural communities.

Engagement with key stakeholders, such as local government bodies, community groups, and potential residents, will form a critical part of the study. The final deliverable is expected to provide clear recommendations and an actionable plan for implementation.

Eligibility and Application Process

Applicants must be registered entities with demonstrated experience in the aged care sector and a thorough understanding of NSW’s regulatory landscape. A strong record in stakeholder engagement and timely report delivery is also essential.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) should include a cover letter detailing relevant experience, examples of previous work, client references, an indicative timeline and budget, and information about the project team’s qualifications. Submissions are to be emailed to the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Association of NSW at secretary@slansw.org.au no later than 5:00 PM on 31/10/2025. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for interviews or to provide further information.

Contact Details

For further enquiries, interested parties can contact the Association via email at secretary@slansw.org.au or phone 0425 763 526 during business hours.

The Sri Lanka Association of NSW emphasised its commitment to advancing this important community initiative and looks forward to collaborating with experienced professionals to help bring the vision of a culturally attuned retirement village to fruition.
