The Rotary Club of Sydney Inner West is holding a fundraising dinner on Saturday 24 May 2008 at St Andrew's College at Missenden Road Camperdown from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.
The three course dinner will include all wines and beverages with dance, music and entertainment in the atmosphere of an Old World English College.
Proceeds will aid the completion of the library and recreation hall of the Don Bosco Home in Maggona, Sri Lanka. This orphanage was established in 1913 by Franciscan missionaries to provide care and education for orphans and destitute children.
Rotary is a world wide service organisation helping local communities with humanitarian projects.
The evening will feature and auction of valuable items including original paintings, and esoterica such as a fine unused coffin for use as an unusual item of furniture, or for personal use! "You will not find one of these by walking into David Jones", said President Frank Low.
Cost is $85 per person and inquiries are welcome to Fay Thurlow at 0418 602 014.
