RASA FM – Sunday 2 ~ 4 PM on FM 90.5

 

Sydney’s most popular Sinhalese language FM station RASA is back by popular demand on a new date and time.

RASA FM has been the most popular program over the last four years. The station first went to air on 2CCR FM 90.5 every Wednesday from 7-9pm.  

They have transformed program content delivery to a more interactive mode. In the history of Sinhalese language radio broadcasting, RASA was the first ever Sri Lankan program to podcast, making a brave move into the 21st century technology.

RASA FM is the radio program which is a subsidiary of the RASA Media Group Pty Ltd.

Speaking to OzLanka today, the groups Chief Executive Officer Sanjeewa Wijesinghe remarked “The success of RASA was mainly due to our pool of talented people. They are arguably the acknowledged experts in their respective fields. The contributions from our News & Current Affairs Director Jagath Bandara and Entertainment Director Wasantha Kalubandara has been the crux of our success over the years. We challenged and succeeded in both content and technical mediums in delivering our program over the years. It is our ambition to thrive in the global news and current affair market over the next few year”

RASA’s Current Affairs and News Director Jagath Bandara has indicated that the new time slot on Sunday will suit Sri Lankan’s in Sydney.  

RASA will relaunch its program on Sunday, 11th May 2008 (Mothers' Day) from 2 ~ 4PM on FM 90.5
