Indian women crush Sri Lanka to win Asia Cup |

Tournament favourites India retained the women’s Asia cricket Cup by defeating host country Sri Lnka by a massive margin of 177 runs in the final which was concluded at the Welagedera stadium Kurunegala on Sunday. They were unbeaten during the tournament. After winning the toss India choose to bat first on a placid pitch to make an imposing 260 for 7 in 50 overs. Sri Lanka Skipper Sashikala Siriwardena bowled best to capture 4 for 53 from 8 overs. But Sri Lanka were dismissed for just 83 runs giving India a 177-run win. Asha Rawat of India was adjudged as the woman of the final while Rumeli Dhar won the best player of the tournament award.
