Dear Friends & Devotees....Please join the Priests of SVT, Helensburgh in reciting the Lalitha Sahasra namavali and in Abhishekams for the welfare of the community.

 Lalita Tripurasundari, the Red Goddess, the Consort of Lord Shiva is the Presiding Goddess Deity of Shiva Temple, SVT, Helensburgh.

 "Dear One, Tripura is the ultimate, primordial Shakti, the light of manifestation. She, the pile of letters of the alphabet, gave birth to the three worlds. At dissolution, She is the abode of all tattvas, still remaining Herself".  -Vamakeshvaratantra

 It is said that Lord Shiva once blessed Kali after she transformed herself, "You''ve assumed a beautiful form in three (tri) worlds, hence, your name will be Tripura-Sundari". The Lalita-sahasranama (One thousand names of Lalita Devi) details her charms from head to foot, and the majority of the Saundaryalahari also extols her beautiful appearance.

 Lalita sahasranama is recital of thousand names of Lalita Devi or the Divine Mother, in the form of Shakti, the goddess of bliss, an epithet for Parvati. Her mantra is not merely an invocation or a prayer. It IS Lalita, in her subtle form.

 We invite all devotees to chant Lalita Sahasranama & witness the abhishekham of Sri Tripurasundari on this Sunday,  20th July at SVT, Helensburgh. 

8.00am-12.30pm: Sankalpam, Lalitha Sahasranama Homam, Poornhuthi, Abishekam to Sri Tripurasundari, Alankaram, Mahadeeparadhana, Procession of Utsavamurthy amman around the temple complex. Prasadams (Lunch) at 12.30pm.
